Decalcify or calcify, is it a typo? Cation calcium can calcify vessels and tissues if the calcium in blood is high, i.e. hypercalcemia.

Ionic calcium would not decalcify organs. It is a complex system of hormones that cause fluxes of calcium in the body. Calcification of tissues and organs may happen with inflammation and injuries including blood vessels.
