A member asked:

Maybe you can give an answer:, very high demeester score of 290, no esophagitis, no hiatal hernia, normal gastric acid, the abnormality is erosive duodenitis a stomach pain and diarrhea. is reflux surgery recommended? thank you ?

You don't mention what your symptoms are or whether PPI meds improve your symptoms. Your DeMeester score certainly is consistent with reflux but doesn't necessarily show that it's causing symptoms you may be experiencing. Erosive duodenitis may be the cause of symptoms. Aggressive acid suppression for a prolonged period.would.probably be required. Your gastroenterologist can advise you best.
