Probably best to treat the whichever is the most likely cause of your main symptoms. BV mainly causes odor (often "fishy"), and yeast usually causes itching and irritation. Discharge may occur with either one. Start with which ever seems most likely, then the other if later symptoms are typical. But remember that yeasts are normal in the vagina; BV is not. If uncertain, discuss with your doctor.
