This is common. I expect the "scar" from the procedure to mature over time (months to a year) and change appearance but it may not have the same appearance as the surrounding tissue.

if you have removed a mole and now have a residual raised tissue in the same area it is possible that you have not completely removed the mole and this area must be either biopsied or excised as the original cancer is still present
