I had a mole / raised skin colured bump that appeared on my face a month ago. i looked at it this morning and it looked the same . then just a few hours later i realized that its darkened dramatically. can melanoma show visable changes in short time?

You should have your mole examined by your doctor to determine if it has any features that are worrisome for malignancy. If it does look suspicious in any way, make arrangements to have it removed by a skin specialist so it can be sent to the lab and examined under a microscope. Then, you will know if it is melanoma, and, if it is, you can be treated. Good luck to you!
