A member asked:

My muscle biopsy results are chronic denervation with reinnervation, rare pyknotic nuclear clumps, and angular atrophic fibers. no compression of nerves in my spine, no injuries, and genetic tests are negative. what else could cause these findings?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

See neuromuscular specialist at a nearby medical school, and have your clinical exam repeated, and have the muscle biopsy slides available. A full-scale second opinion should provide the conclusive diagnosis.
