If his whole body is almost cleared of the rash, that small cheek rash can be taken care with a steroid cream. You can try the mild one hydrocortisone 1% OTC first, twice a day for a week or two. If it does not go away, his pediatrician can prescribe a medium strength steroid cream. The lesion is small so I think it is safe to use.

A good moisturizer for baby eczema is available over the counter. Avoid harsh soaps and fragrances, and immersion in water. The use of a low dose hydrocortisone lotion on the face may be helpful, but often is not needed. Please consult with your Pediatrician. Baby eczema is very common and in many infants will resolve with time. Some infants develop food allergies and this is another consideration
