Must i have contrast injection during virtual colonoscopy? what about drinking barium? can virtual colon be done without one or both of these?
CT w contrast of abdominal and pelvic cavity. small hiatal hernia. Nothing else found. Colonoscopy is in 1 week. Likelihood of finding a major tumor during procedure. The CT would pic up a 2cm or larger colon mass correct?
I know the downside of CT or MRI is no biopsies but I don't want traditional colonoscopy. I don't want sedation it freaks me out. I'm just curious if i ever end up needing some type of colon test is an MRI enterography as accurate as colonoscopy?
