All laboratory results need to be interpreted in the clinical context and the doctor who ordered the tests is usually in the best position to do that. Talk to the doctor who ordered the tests. Having said that, your MPV result is not a cause for concern. Wish you good health!

Your MPV is slightly high. If your platelet count and the rest of the cbc is normal, slighly low or slightly high mean platelet volumes are no cause for concern. We often see a high MPV when the platelet count is low as a type of compensation. .Very high MPV does put a person in some danger of a heart attack or ischemic stroke.
