Stay away from food or liquids that causes you discomfort. Your tongue will gradually heal. Good Luck

It is uncommon for geographical tongue to be painful, but it can be. In addition to avoiding triggers of the discomfort, you probably can derive resolution of pain by applying a topical corticosteroid especially suited for mouth use. Kenalog orabase is one such product. Your physician may be willing to prescribe it for you.
