Tetanus? Infection?: I see they you received tetanus prophylaxis which is excellent. Swelling g and pain is normal for three weeks but it should be improving and if it is getting worse, i would see a physician for possible x-rays as well as antibiotics.

Have it evaluated.: Puncture wounds can lead of severe infections especially in diabetics. These infections could spread deep down to bone. If it gets severe enough, this could lead to loss of limb or even life. With puncture wounds, one may also develop tetanus. Often, people with numbness will delay treatment. Have the wound properly evaluated and treated to avoid preventable complications.
