A member asked:

I forgot bp meds last night (take hydrochlorothiaz 12.5 mg and carvedilol 3.125 mg) my usual bp in morning is around 120/70 but this morning without meds it was 93/62 why would that be?

BP is affected by many things. One BP is not diagnostic of anything so if you feel O.K. don't worry about it. It is not related to not taking your meds one time

I agree with Dr. Tandan that one number doesn't mean much even it seems quite low without the medication in previous night. For your age, I agree that systolic pressure between 120-130 is considered well controlled, less than 100 is too low unless you have a weak heart. However, I wonder why you take Hctz, a diuretic, in the evening though. You need to monitor BP closely and discuss with your doc.
