I jammed my finger ~6 weeks ago and i still have periodic brief/mild pain in that finger. it happens on and off during the day when moving that finger, maybe once a week. no swelling. should i be concerned? should see a doctor and if so, what kind?

You could have a hairline fracture and best see an orthopedic hand specialist for an x-ray. You may need a splint for support, if pain continues, best see a doctor for peace of mind.
