A member asked:

Is clumping of caudal nerve roots a common incidental finding on mri scans? have had lots of corresponding symptoms. no compression, no back surgery. but have the inflammation of the nerve roots. what can cause caudal inflammation? thanks?

Do you have a history of spinal injury? You are too young for spinal stenosis. I would expect symptoms affecting your urinary bladder and legs with inflammation of the caudal nerve roots. In view of the MRI findings I recommend consulting a neurologist or a neurosurgeon for evaluation and advice. The specialist may review the MRI on his own or sit down with the radiologist to get more input.
