A member asked:

What is this procedure called "vertiflex procedure"? is this procedure done through a the orthopedic surgeon or through a pain doctor? is this a minimally invasive procedure and reversible??

This minimally invasive procedure to alleviate symptoms of spinal stenosis is done by orthopedic specialist and has been successful in many cases sparing patients from back surgery.. However I would only have it performed by specialists affiliated with a clinic that has a good track record performing it.

This procedure is usually done by an orthopedist or pain specialist who will do a minor procedure with local anesthetic to put a spacer between the bones of your spine to relieve the symptoms of lumbar spine stenosis. This is a minimally invasive procedure and it can be removed if needed with surgery.
