I do not understand what you mean by delaying the absorption. People use milk quite often with breakfast, especially when eating cereals. For sure, milk can delay the absorption of some food ingredients and in some cases milk (due to calcium content) can render some medications ineffective due to the biding effect of calcium, e.g. milk and iron.
