Wife diagnosed rectal cancer. ct did not find anything wrong with liver and distant organs. mri pelvis : t3; n1b; mx. her gi doctor commented that mri is showing local spread. 1. i am confused with mx ?? 2. what stage is she? m.d.team scheduled. than?

T3 means the tumor has grown into the outer lining of the bowel wall but has not grown through it. N1b means there are cancer cells in 2 or 3 nearby lymph nodes. Mx means metastases cannot be measured/assessed. Stage could be IIIb but not clear. Best wishes!
