Does premature birth plays a role in developing epilepsy later in adulthood? ( no sizure throughout childhood). keeping in mind this scenario if one develops epilepsy as an adult is it said to be acquired?

Premature birth (<37 wk) roughly doubles the risk of developing epilepsy; but in the US only 1.2% of people have active epilepsy, so the ABSOLUTE risk is still small. "Acquired" isn't a useful term. All epilepsies have been formally classified and named. Do a search for "epilepsy classification" to learn more.
