It is best practice to complete an antibiotic course to help reduce the incidence of antibiotic resistant bacteria, but missing one dose in 12 hours wouldn't necessary decrease your treatment efficacy. If you still have urinary tract infection symptoms, you should inquire about your urine culture results; some bacteria are resistant to Nitrofurantoin.
