There a different species of HPV, some can cause warts and some could progress to cancer. They are not easily transferred unless through a breach in the skin or microtrauma during sexual activities. The fact that your husband has it does not mean you have it. Though the accuracy of the testing is not hundred percent it is likely that your immune activities may also prevent it from multiplying.

You should take precautions and have your husband re-examined . If he is then see your Gyn again and explain the situation to her/him for a more thoro evaluation.
