By Drugs.com, Insulin autoimmune syndrome, a rare condition characterized by hypoglycemic episodes due to the presence of high titers of insulin autoantibodies (IAA), is listed as a side effect of methimazole but the incidence is unknown; so if you have insulin autoantibodies you probably have this rare side effect. However by PDR, hypoglycemic effect is listed as a moderate and early side effect.
