Schizophrenic mother thinks tv is talking to her and neighbors are saying disparaging things through the wall. she takes her meds, is there anything else that can be done to help her?

Schizophrenia is a complex disorder and requires a coordinated effort by a team including a psychiatrist, Internist and therapist. It may be that your mom needs a change or addition to her meds, extra counseling or even treatment for medical illnesses such as diabetes, etc that may be making her schizophrenia worse.

She will need an assessment by her prescriber and/or primary care physician in order to better understand if there is a significant change from her baseline, look at possible causes and ways to address them.
