The human immune system clears most of the HPV infections. The immune system may be less efficient in an older age person, but it is still capable of clearing up the HPV infection. Your gynecologist should monitor you over the next 1-2 years so that you can receive optimal medical/gynecologic care.

Anything is possible in medicine, Clearance depends on the immune system and tho probably not as robust ,is still present at age 70yrs
