Patients go through a primary infection stage where they shed virus and can pass it to others. The virus is then suppressed by the immune system to the point would rarely spread. In some respects this is a clearance, however all HPV strains are members of a virus family well known for hibernating for years/decades. They/or not may reactivate.

. The body can do anything. Only we cant predict accurately for it depends on the invasiveness of the virus and the degree of effectiveness of the immune system and how it plays out
