Signs and symptoms of acute bronchitis usually resolve by 10 days of antibiotic treatment. In my experience,asthmatic bronchitis, which is accompanied by wheezing, may last quite a bit longer. A chest xray would be advised if you're still coughing up blood after 10 days.
