A member asked:

I had a tilt table test positive for pots with high heart rate with no change in blood pressure. do i need propranolol and fludrocortisone or only propranolol? i know florinef increases bp but i had no bp change only heart rate. do i need florinef?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

POTS can have different patterns. In your case a drop in blood pressure on changing from sitting to standing isn't part of the symptomatology. Apparently your autonomic nervous system can't properly regulate the heart rate in order to prevent decrease in blood flow that can occur when we stand up Cardiac rehabilitation exercise does help your type of POTS Beta blockers help also. ?Not florinef
