I take inderal (propranolol) 40 mg, 3 times a day, would it be better if i take a 120 mg extended release once a day. i take it for a rapid heart rate and blood pressure. will my pulse rate stay more even through out the day.

Worth trying? Can't: If u r bothered by having to take Inderal (propranolol) 3x/day (perhaps ur working, or forgetting to carry doses w/ you), then it's worthwhile asking ur doc if he can prescribe the extended release (XR) form. While the math works 4 most ppl (40 mg x 3/day = 120 mg XR), some ppl require more & some require less. But 120 mg is a gd starting amt. U may have break-thru, in which case 20mg or 40mg can supplement XR.
