Has shockwave therapy been successfully used in the treatment of sesamoid stress fractures in the foot? the one journal article i found on the topic said that shockwave therapy for stress fractures in general is useful?

Am not familiar with shockwave therapy. I would consider a custom orthotics by a podiatrist. I have successfully cut in half in a horizontal plane ( parallel to the floor) if the sesamoid is intact. I do not recommend removing a sesamoid bone unless absolutely necessary.
