I wear a menstrual pad in my underwear to catch continual staining, (brown/red old bloodlike color), from my foley catheter. it is changed every month by my urologist. is it normal because of the continual use? fungicide was prescribed?

It is common due to the constant irritation with indwelling catheter. I am not sure if local antifungal cream is effective though.

Yes local irritation can cause this. Wash the area with soap and water daily and avoid any pull on the area where the catheter comes out and try some Vaseline at the tip. Hope that does it.
