My blood retic results show that i have a very high irf at 12.00 when the normal range is 0.26-0.52. should i be concerned? my mcv tends to be low at 75~ fl?

I do not know what IRF means in Brunei. MCV suggests low iron anemia. But not certain what MCV means in Brunei either. Discuss with your local Drs who will understand the abbreviations. Never use abbreviations in medical notes as can be deadly.

A high retic count means that the bone marrow is working hard to manufacture red blood cells. You don't mention whether you're anemic however. High retic counts are seen in bleeding or hemolytic anemia. As has been mentioned low MCV occurs in iron deficiency anemia.A hemotologist can advise you if your current physician is uncertain of your status.
