Tiniest lump in parotid gland, sore to touch, only 1 side, feeling slightly run down today. otherwise healthy person. had dental x-rays done a few weeks ago and dentist didnt mention anything. should i see someone for this?

I'm not sure that what you're palpating is a lump within the parotid gland. It could be a tender preauricular lymph node. To be sure, you'd have to be examined by your physician or an ENT specialist.

If primary care or ENT have no findings, consider going back to your dentist who may refer you to an Oral Surgeon. You may have a small sialolith (a salivary stone) blocking your parotid duct.
