Inflammation or mass: Possible explanations are an obstructed duct causing a tender area of swelling or a parotid tumor. 80% of, parotid tumors are benign. It is concerning that it aches as parotid cancers are more likely to be painful than benign masses. Recommend seeing ENT soon.
