I think i had my nose broken many years ago. will doc be able to tell if my nose healed the way it was supposed to heal or if it has changed shape and healed incorrectly via x-ray?

I would say unless you are not satisfied with the appearance of your nose there is no need to even go through with the X ray, however you are right that the X ray would reveal information about the healing.
