No, antibiotics do not affect herpes testing. Herpes is a virus, that resides in the body at the base of the skull or beside the spine, and we can't get rid of it is not susceptable to antibiotics. Antibiotics are effective against certain types of bacteria only, they are not used to treat viral infections.
