A member asked:

Is it possible to have multiple sclerosis without lesions showing on mri? thank you?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Not really, BUT, lesions can occur initially, in spinal cord, and not in brain, on occasion early on. If no lesions are present affecting eyes, brain, or spinal cord, a diagnosis of MS cannot be supported.
