The cement doesn't change the color only the mind changes the color. I always show the patient the shades of any types of crowns, veneers, dentures before placing in their mouth. The only problem that could have occurred with you is the lighting in the room was dark and the shade was good for you. If too light than they can be stained darker.

Esthetic dentistry is an art and your dentist did their very best to not only meet but exceed your expectations. The cement does not change the color, the color is determined by the shade of porcelain that is used. They did show you the veneers before cementation, and you approved the appearance. Consider discussing re-doing the veneers at a reduced fee if you're really that unhappy.

Cement does not change the color of veneers. Color is determined by the porcelain, and reflects differently in different light.
