I just asked this question and dr said to wait for specialist to answer basal cell/right forearm removed 6 weeks ago/digging it out. healed dome like. dr. did 2nd biopsy and came back scc. how can basal turn to scc in the same spot in just a few wee?

I would have to assume that it was a squamous cell cancer all along. They are faster growing & grow inwards as well. If a dermatologist is doing the deeper excision you want to have a second opinion at a skin cancer clinic or see a surgical oncologist who does skin surgery at a university hospital near you.
