It all has to do with what kind of tablet based on your comorbid conditions and other meds and supplements you are taking, definitely not any over the counter, talk to your treating physician first.

Since you're a healthy young athlete I would ask your pharmacist to recommend a magnesium supplement that you could take to prevent the typical type of.muscle cramps that can occur during vigorous running. Don't forget to stretch before exercise. If cramps aren't prevented, see your MD for evaluation including calcium & magnesium serum levels
