EntePr an answer sum: If you have continued to have chronic heel pain due to plantar fasciitis, the criket play may continue to strain the plantar fascia. I advise runners and other athletes to shut down their program, and get in the pool or cycle until it's at least 90% better. Stertching icing, night splints, deep cross friction massage, temporary or permanent orthtoics can help a great deal.

Just temporarily: Continuing to play will not cause permanent injury but may lead to a longer time before healing. Plantar fasciitis is very variable and may take days to weeks to months to heal. A short rest from running and sport is adviseable with return as symptoms allow. It is important to work on morning foot stretches prior to your first steps, a short course of nsaids, and a cushion for the heel.

See below: No , usually planter fasciitis is self-limiting some rest , ice anti-inflammatory linament, plantar fascia stretching first thing in the morning before you get out of bed and exercises heel cup, short course of anti-inflammatory medications are usually helpful. If recalcitrance then to that injection therapy. Surgery as a last resort. There is other types of conservative management too many list. Good luck thank you keep me posted.

Maybe: Hi shiva-- probably not...Unless we can't get the plantar fasciitis under control. Begin very aggressive achilles tendon and plantar fascia stretching (you cannot do this too much), avoid flip flops / barefoot, consider cortisone injection and get yourself a good arch support (american insurance sometimes covers this cost). If that does not work, then yes-- a break would be recommended.
