Can stress play a role in triggering a herpes outbreak?

It does seem to have a role though that is difficult to quantify and it is not clear if it is a direct effect. If you are stressed you may not be eating and sleeping well which could suppress your immune system and that would make you more susceptible to outbreaks.
Created for people with ongoing healthcare needs but benefits everyone.
