Possibly, but not always. Even if you do, the pain of the injection lasts just a couple of seconds.

You want to numb the entire tooth ,so you feel as little pain as possible. I always give the palatal injection after the front side injection so you won't feel it as much. You have the option of waiting to see if the first injection gets you numb.
