Soninlaw went into hospital with hemoglobin of 5. his red cells & white cells not normal he had 2 infusions & now they r going do bone marrow. is is it lukemia they are looking for? im scared. one doctor felt could be nutrition as he eats no dairy?

There are several possible causes of anemia this severe, but leukemia certainly is one of them. Nutrition alone would be unlikely but not impossible. Even if worse comes to worst, many kinds of leukemia can be treated very effectively these days, with long term survival and sometimes complete cure. First and most important it is good that he is in the hospital as his condition needed immediate medical attention. The bone marrow is meant to shed some light on the condition that can possibly cause his symptoms, leukemia included. Stay in touch with his team, he will need tight follow up after discharge.
