If you do not have history of coronary heart disease just rest, take 15 cc of antacid such as Mylanta if available, if pain subsides pain is likely from the esophagus but if pain gets worse with some other symptoms such as sweating, shortness of breath or pain radiating to the left arm or the jaw, call 911. If you have history of CAD, take NTG SL as instructed by your doctor.
