For the last year ive had these scabs only on my stomach and buttocks, the first dermatologist i saw said it was ingrown hairs that i probably scratched so hard it created a scab. that answer doesnt sit well with me?

Are the scabs itchy? Worse at night? May be scabies ( can be treated with Permethrin)At any point where there blisters? May be dermatitis herpetiformis which can be related to gluten sensitivity,. or Linear IgA disease an autoimmune disease or rarely eczema ( less likely location), or folliculitis, or hidradenitis suppurativa(rare) or ingrown hair .A biopsy may help. f/u/w/ dermatology
