A member asked:

I have a pituitary adenoma and several weird symptoms that no doc can explain. they run tests that all come back "low normal" then ignore me . help.

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Unsure: Pituitary tumors can be found1. Incidentally - causing no symptoms, 2. Function inning - producing an abnormal amount of a hormone, 3. Low pituitary function - decreased amount of hormonal production by the pituitary due to mass effect from the tumor, 4. Mass effect on optic nerves - large enough to compress the optic nerves and affect vision. The pituitary tumor may be present and cause no trouble.
