I bought collagen supplements that say it has collagen + biotin to help with hair, skin and nails. will it be effective or wont do much? dont know if i should take them or return?

The biotin will help a little, if there is a sufficiently high dosage, but oral collagen is useless for hair and nails. Get your money back and buy pure biotin, a minimum of 5000 units/day. If that is ineffective, see a dermatologist for a complete evaluation.
