You are right you should get tested but more importantly to not transmit infection to those that are close to you by personal hygiene activities like mask, washing hands and distancing from your immediate family for now.

These symptoms could be from the flu or even COVID. If you develop difficulty in breathing, loss of smell and taste and continuation of these symptoms than get tested immediately.
