Is treating asymptomatic ureaplasma necessary? tested positive and gp said doxycycline not needed. my period has gone on, but not heavily, for a month. could they be related? note: i have copper coil iud since 2018?

Your doctor is exactly right. Ureaplasma is a normal bacteria in the genital tract; at any time, 50% of people your age test positive. It is unfortunate that it is included in "comprehensive" STI testing panels. Probably the ureaplasma is unrelated to your continued vaginal bleeding.
