After supercervical hysterectomy the cervix is left. is this sewn shut? where does sperm go? i know when you have a total - there is a vaginal cuff made. what is made for cervix remaining to keep sperm out and away from ovaries?

During a "partial" or supracervical hysterectomy, the uterus is removed leaving the cervix in place. The stump of the uterus, past the cervix, is closed so nothing from outside the body can get into the body (including sperm).
