A member asked:

With vaping is just holding the smoke in your mouth (not sending it to your lung at all) just as harmful, because i have a weird enjoyment for smoke but dont want the risks, so does keeping the vapour in my mouth prevent the risks? at least a bit?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

If you do not "inhale" the smoke, it is like smoking a cigar; i.e., no direct effect on the lungs. There may, however, be effects on tongue and structures in mouth, but a dentist could assess such emerging symptoms if present.
